Meghalaya’s media landscape stands at a pivotal juncture. Digital platforms now offer unparalleled reach, yet they also introduce new challenges: the proliferation of misinformation, escalating online threats and the rapid turnover of content.

Against this backdrop, the second edition of the Media Meet 2025—organised by the Department of Information & Public Relations of the Government of Meghalaya, with pro bono technical support from the Centre for Policy—will bring together journalists, editors, media practitioners and students. Its objective is to strengthen journalistic capacity in a dynamic digital environment and to reaffirm the principles of media ethics and public trust.
