The conception of Studio Mori was born in Arashiyama, Kyoto.
In the serene embrace of its bamboo groves, where light filters through tall, whispering stalks and moss-clad stones speak of centuries past, we discovered a vocabulary of form and space that spoke directly to our creative sensibilities. The quiet rhythms of that landscape: its gentle gradations of colour, the harmony of architecture and nature, the hushed beauty of Shinto shrines nestled among ancient trees, imparted a guiding ethos: that simplicity is never solitary, but woven with layers of meaning. It is this ethos that we carry into every project, translating the spirit of Arashiyama into thoughtful, pared-back design solutions.
Our Vision
Studio Mori is a design practise dedicated to the pursuit of clarity, restraint and enduring simplicity in every facet of visual communication. Drawing inspiration from the essence of natural forms and atmospheric subtlety, we apply a lens of minimalism to brand identities, digital interfaces, publications and social media creatives.
