Project Information

The Human‑Centred Development (HCD) Reporting Programme is a landmark collaboration between UNICEF India, the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Meghalaya, and the Centre for Policy.

This initiative strengthens the capacities of journalists, editors, and media students across Meghalaya to practice child‑sensitive, inclusive, and ethical reporting.

It is grounded in the recognition that a free, fair, and trustworthy public conversation depends on journalism that places people, especially children and vulnerable communities, at its core.

By combining institutional expertise with local engagement, the programme represents a timely and practical step toward building a more informed, compassionate, and responsible media ecosystem in Meghalaya.

More details on this initiative will be available here soon.
