For every child, resilience in every community

What is it about

Do you care about your community, your friends, and your future in a changing climate?

YPAG is a new space where young people in Meghalaya come together to share ideas, take action, and make sure youth voices guide real solutions. It is supported by UNICEF India and the Government of Meghalaya.

What it's all about

Share your ideas: Use your creativity to make health and social services stronger.

Take action together: Work with other young people to solve challenges like safe water, nutrition, disasters, and healthcare.

Make a difference: Your suggestions will help shape government plans and protect children’s rights.

Be part of change: Join a movement that puts youth at the center of climate action and disaster preparedness.

Why should you join?

Because your voice matters.

YPAG is about young people leading change, turning ideas into action, and action into resilience for our communities.

Project Information

The Young People's Action Group

focuses on addressing the critical issue of climate change and its impacts on healthcare, essential services, and community well-being.

Climate change and natural disasters pose significant threats by damaging healthcare infrastructure, disrupting access to essential services, and undermining the physical and mental well-being of community members.

By engaging young people in this effort, the initiative aims to foster innovative solutions and build resilience in the face of these challenges.

Young people's engagement is crucial for driving effective climate action, particularly in areas that directly affect their lives, such as healthcare and essential services.

This programme is funded by UNICEF India and is supported by the Government of Meghalaya's MPOWER (Meghalaya Project for Adolescent Wellbeing, Empowerment, and Resilience) project, which is supported by the World Bank.
