Jade is Director of the Centre for Policy, where he leads the Centre’s strategy, institutional development, and engagement with a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including international organisations, government agencies, industry, academia, and civil society.

He is a MPP candidate at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. A lawyer by training, Jade graduated with honours in Constitutional Law from the National Law University, Jodhpur, where he was awarded a scholarship by Meta.

His work lies at the intersection of human rights and human development. At the Centre, he has collaborated with UNICEF to establish capacity‑building programmes for grassroots actors in climate and community action, and has designed initiatives to strengthen the role of media actors.

Jade has produced expert submissions to United Nations Special Rapporteurs on issues ranging from extrajudicial executions to inclusive climate governance, and has provided authoritative legal analysis to government partners on constitutional law and environmental law.

A recent report edited by Jade has been cited by state partners in submissions before the Supreme Court of India.

Jade previously held a fellowship at the National Law School of India University, supporting the Government of Meghalaya’s Law Department in developing policy responses to complex social and economic challenges in the state.

He has informed advocacy by international organisations including Human Rights Watch and Access Now.

Earlier in his career, Jade served as Research Assistant to a member of the High‑Level Panel of Legal Experts on Media Freedom, then chaired by Amal Clooney, contributing to its landmark report on international standards and blasphemy laws.

He has acted as petitioner in proceedings before the Indian courts to strengthen privacy protections (Jade Jeremiah Lyngdoh v. Union of India & Ors), and has utilised the Right to Information Act to expose executive‑ordered internet shutdowns and the deployment of facial‑recognition technology absent statutory safeguards.
